Geophysics Day Earth Sciences Photo Contest
With the aim of making know the work of geosciences and recognizing the beauty of our planet ant its systems, the Students' Society of Geophysics of the School of Engineering (SAGFI), the SEG-AMGE UNAM Student Champters and the Coordination of Geophysical Engineering call on the geoscience community of all the universities and institutes to participate in the Geophysics Day Earth Sciences Photo Contest.
Bases
Participating photos must be directly related to the earth sciences. Each individual may register only one photo.
The contest will be held virtually through the SAGFI's social media.
The call is open to the members of any university, company or public or private institutes in Mexico and abroad.
Logistics
Registration will take place from Jan 26th to Feb 15th, 2024 through the following Google Forms: https://forms.gle/mSUW4Ew51kfNnRhQ6
In the forms, the photo must be upload with the technical parameters specified.
On Feb 19th, the participating photos will be published on SAGFI's social media, where they will be shown to the public so they can vote for their favourite photo. Each reaction will count as one vote.
Reactions must be in the original publication on SAGFI's Facebook, Instagram and X (Twitter). Votes on shared posts would have no value.
All the reactions from the three social networks will be added.
Any notable indication of the use of bots will be penalized with expulsion of the contest.
Results
On Feb 27th at 8:00 pm, reactions will be recorded on the three social networks and from that time on, reactions added later would no longer be counted.
On Feb 28th, the winners of the contest will be notified via e-mail.
On Feb 29th, results will be published on SAGFI's social media.
The award ceremony will take place in the Professional Exams Room of the School of Engineering, UNAM.
